About Us
What is an Ambulatory Surgery Center
Ambulatory surgery centers—known as ASCs—are modern health care facilities focused on providing same-day surgical care, including diagnostic and preventive procedures.
ASCs have transformed the outpatient experience for millions of Americans by providing them with a more convenient alternative to hospital-based outpatient procedures—and done so with a strong track record of quality care and positive patient outcomes.
ASCs in New Mexico
Ambulatory surgery centers are rapidly growing in New Mexico. ASCs in New Mexico provide:
Cost Effective Care: They provide a cost-effective alternative to hospitals for both patients and insurance companies.
Quality Care: ASCs participate in quality reporting and our patient outcomes show very low rates of complications, including infections.
Convenience: They are conveniently located for patients and have shorter wait times than in patient facilities
Now the need is more than ever to be a part of this advocacy... Joining NMSASC is a positive step to becoming part of a strong industry association working to protect the interest of ambulatory surgery centers in New Mexico.
Members
Like an ASC, our Association is a low cost, efficient organization that focuses on producing results for its members.
Officers & Board Committee Chairs
NMSASC is governed by an elected board of directors equally representing corporate and individually owned centers in the state of New Mexico. Directors serve a two year term and board elections are held every year.
