NMSASC strives to provide it’s members with up-to-date information relating to all New Mexico regulatory and policy matters.
- DEVELOP relationship with New Mexico department of health.
- MONITOR ASC and healthcare legislation at the state and national levels.
- ADVISE the state legislature on ASC’s and healthcare issues.
- CONVEY the industry’s message to regulatory agencies, state executive departments and the congressional delegation.
- ADVOCATE for insurance coverage and reasonable conditions of coverage by Medicare, Medicaid and private payers.

NMSASC is focused on advocacy, education, networking and media.
The New Mexico State Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (NMSASC) is a statewide, nonprofit membership association representing the interests of the industry in New Mexico and, by extension, nationwide.
- NMSASC continually works with state officials from legislative and regulatory arenas on issues that face the surgery center industry in New Mexico.
- Each year, NMSASC participates in a coordinated effort from the national ASC Association to meet with Federal Representatives and Senators to discuss the national issues facing the surgery center industry.
- NMSASC also hosts tours with State Senators and Representatives to show them the benefit that surgery centers are to New Mexico communities.
- NMSASC will continue to work hard at making sure that our patients come first!
